The power of 3D print partnerships has been recognised by the University of Derby as a deal is confirmed between the University of Derby’s 3D Printing Society and Print-Rite Europe which will see the higher education provider expand its resource and work with Print-Rite Europe to develop new opportunities for students.
The partnership is the latest Print-Rite Europe has formed in the education sector where it is fast gaining a reputation as a specialist manufacturer. It is also becoming well known as a company keen to jointly explore how 3D printing can become an integral part of an establishment’s capability across a wide range of learning sectors.
Print-Rite Europe’s 3D Services Executive, Joe Banner, and Marketing Manager, Lucy Knight, recently visited the University to meet members of its 3D Printing Society and to hear about the work students are currently undertaking. They were welcomed by the University of Derby’s 3D Printing Society President, Stephen Gore and the other members of the society.
The University now has a CoLiDo 2+ which will be used for larger builds and two CoLiDo DIY’s, allowing the students to build their very own 3D printers!
During the visit Joe Banner demonstrated how to set up the DIY printer – a task he performed himself in just under 30 minutes!
Students will be keeping the Print-Rite Europe team up-to-date with its exciting projects in the coming months, so stay tuned!
